AMBER IRELAND | Art Director
Amber is our art-rock ’n’ roll-loving founder and director. Since creating Onyx Design in 2006, Amber has been fully committed to producing high-quality design solutions on budget and on time.
With a passion for colour, art, sculpture and design, Amber’s natural talent and vision led her straight from school into the design industry, working in print. Here, she gained invaluable knowledge and created strong connections, paving the way for Onyx Design. Onyx is a business with many loyal clients from both small and big beginnings, and all in between.
When not working, Amber enjoys spending time with her family, laughing till it hurts, chocolate, pinot gris, gin, up-cycling, op-shopping and collecting art by New Zealand painters and sculptors. Of course, like all art lovers, her only complaint is that her budget doesn’t always match the artwork she desires!
CATHERINE WENSOR | Graphic Designer
The wizard at Onyx Design, Catherine, joined Onyx in 2010, backed with a Bachelor of Graphic Design from New Zealand’s prestigious design University, Massey in Wellington and International experience in London, where she worked with a high-profile media and advertising company.
Catherine quickly made an impression with her positive, friendly approach and exceptional attention to detail. There is no task she can not tackle, and as a map design maestro, stays, cool calm and collected when facing insane deadlines and extensive documents.
In her spare time, Catherine loves travelling, dancing, photography and catching up with friends.
KERI-ANN TEAZ | Graphic Designer
Growing up with a passion for art, design and fashion, Keri-Ann always wanted to be in a creative job. Despite this, nearly studying sociology instead, thankfully, she saw the light and gained a Bachelor of Media Arts in Hamilton, and after gaining experience working in a design studio in Mount Maunganui, she joined the Onyx team in 2017.
Keri-Ann is committed to propelling clients to greater success and enjoys guiding them out of the confines of old-school into new-school. Outside of work, she loves music, history, the great outdoors, a wine (or two) and camping.
